Timothy A. Stocken

Timothy A. Stocken of Highland Lakes, N.J., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He was 69 years old.
He was born on July 10, 1949, in Warwick, the son of Joseph and Helen (Miller) Stocken.
He was a member of the Warwick Valley High School class of 1967 and a lifetime freelance writer, having worked for The Warwick Advertiser and blogging in later years. For those who knew and loved him, it was well-known Tim loved to talk.
For many years, he had a Frito-Lay route, happily delivering chips and other assorted goodies.
However, his favorite employment was as "Santa Tim," where he brought happiness and awe to many children.
Tim was a lifetime member of the Warwick Valley Country Club where he was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph Stocken, now of the State of Florida; nieces and nephews: Deborah, April, Joseph, Stephen and Heather; and many friends.
Cremation will be private.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Jan. 12, at noon at the Warwick Valley Country Club, Warwick.
