Thomas P. Mullin

Thomas P. Mullin of Monroe passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 89 years old.
The son of Frank and Loretta Divine Mullin, he was born July 5, 1929, in Brooklyn.
Thomas proudly served the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He received his BS from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Tom dedicated his life to the service of others: as a Captain in the NYPD, last serving in the 6th Precinct; as a devout parishioner of St. Anastasia Church in Harriman, where he taught CCD for 10 years, was a eucharistic minister and member of the adult choir; and as a member of the Monroe Lions Club.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jean Faia Mullin, at home; his daughters: Mary E. Mullin and her husband Thomas Garske of Glen Ridge, N.J., Jeanie A. Conway and her husband Thomas of Garden City, and Ellen M. Currid and her husband Brian of Warwick; his sister, Gerry Baban of Neponsit; eight grandchildren: Catherine, Matthew, Tommy, Kayla, Owen, Sean, Ciara and Teagan; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Jan. 28 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 29 at St. Anastasia Parish Church.
Interment followed at St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman.
