Thomas J. Warren Sr.
Thomas J. Warren Sr. of Warwick, passed away on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at St. Anthony Community Hospital. He was 75 years old.
Born on March 27, 1941, in New York City, he was the son of William and Margaret (Gaffney) Warren.
He was married to Ellen (Devine) Warren.
Tom served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, serving with the 101st Airborne Division.
He was a retired steamfitter with Local #638 in New York City.
A survivor of the Sept. 11 attack, he was there at the time of the attack and worked eight months during the cleanup operation.
A very athletic person, he was a parachuter, a ski instructor at Mt. Peter in Warwick and Craigmeur in Newfoundland, N.J., a swimming and diving coach for CYO and a scuba diver.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen of Warwick; his son, Michael Martin Warren and his wife Charlene of Warwick; his beloved grandson, Thomas Warren, who he cared for after his retirement.
He was predeceased by a son, Thomas James Warren Jr. in 2003.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, at St. Stephen's R.C. Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
