Thomas D. Mattner
Thomas D. Mattner, 57 of Milford, Pa. died on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, N.Y.
He was a retired police officer for River Vale Police Department, River Vale, N.J., member of the Dingman Township Fire Department, Pa. and a U.S. Marine Corp veteran serving from 1975 to 1981.
The son of Alfred and Therese (McCaffrey) Mattner he was born May 2, 1956 in Teaneck, N.J. He was married to Michelle (Angley) Mattner on May 24, 1980 in Bergenfield, N.J.
Survivors include his wife; his mother Therese Mattner of Long Branch, N.J.; two daughters Danielle Whalen and her husband David of Florida, N.Y., Sabrina Mattner of Florida, N.Y.; son Thomas J. Mattner of Milford, Pa.; eight brothers and sisters: Alfred Mattner, Susan Post, Eileen Ziegler, Deborah Maragliano, Jeffrey Mattner, William Mattner, Daniel Mattner, Mary Raleigh and two grandsons Declan and Mason.
The family will receive friends at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Thursday, Jan. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. Firematic services and Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m.
