To know her was to love her. Moms favorite quote was my father always said if you have nothing nice to say, dont say anything and that was the way she lived her life. When we would visit her, she would greet us with Im so glad to see you, you made my day - no, you made my week. I love you, you know. She usually had a joke to share that she told over and over. We love you, Mom.
She is survived by three daughters: Patricia Cook of Bloomingburg, Lorraine Otterbein and her husband Bob of Warwick and Liz Sicuro and her husband Philip Jr. of Wurtsboro two sons: Michael Steele and his wife Ann of Middletown and James Steele and his wife Susan of Plattekill; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Garrick and son–in-law Rollin Cook.
There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial was held Feb. 29 at St. Josephs R.C. Church in the Village of Florida, which is the same church she and her husband were married in.
Burial will be in Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Sullivan County SPCA 104 Rock Hill Rd. Rock Hill, NY 12775, because Theresa loved children and animals.
