Stella Bierstine

Stella Bierstine of Pine Island entered into rest on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at home. She was 87.

The daughter of Michael Waskiewicz and Mary Mazur Waskiewicz, she was born Aug. 30, 1924, in Goshen.

She is survived by her son Peter Bierstine; daughter Carol Bierstine; three granddaughters; sister Theresa Jankowski; sister-in-law Marion Zangrillo; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Stanley Bierstine, her brothers Anthony and Edward Waskiewicz and her sisters Helen Gray and Dorothy Minkus.

A funeral Mass was scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, at St. Stanislaus Church in Pine Island, to be followed by burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
