Stanley Musial

Stanley Musial of Florida, N.Y., a retired maintenance worker for Orange County and retired produce grower, entered into rest on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017. He was 86.
The son of Frank Musial and Mary Glowacz Musial, he was born Dec. 26, 1930, in Florida, N.Y.
He was a 62-year member and past assistant chief of the Florida Fire Department.
Survivors include his companion, Edna Slingerland of Goshen; sister Cecilia Caplicki; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers: Joseph and John “Jack” Musial; three sisters: Bertha Volock, Theresa Kamrowski and Valerie Musial.
Visitation was held Nov. 3 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home. Firematic services also were held that evening at the funeral home.
A Funeral Mass was held Nov. 4 at St. Joseph Church.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
