    Shari Gail Cohen of New York City and formerly of Bellvale passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017. She was 72 years old.
    Born March 8, 194,5 in Kew Garden, Queens, she was the daughter of Jacob and Bertha (Weiss) Cohen.
    She grew up in Bellvale, attended Green Mountain College and was a graduate of Syracuse University.
    She was active in the dog community in New York City.
    Before retiring, Shari was a buyer with Bloomingdale’s in New York City and designed for both Carole Horn and Nuliples.
    She is survived by a sister, Michele Carter, of Warwick; her nieces and nephews: Robert Carter of Phoenixville, Pa., Beth Pivovar of Stony Point, Craig Carter of Washington, and Julie Carter of Middletown; many great-nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by nephews Gary Carter and Michael Carter.
    Graveside services were held June 21 at Warwick Cemetery.
    Memorial donations may be sent to Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, 331 E. 70th Street, New York, NY 10021.
    Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
