Santine A. Porpora

Santine A. Porpora, known as Tina, of Florida, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at her home. She was 100 years old.
Daughter of Joseph and Rose (Ross) DeBartol, Tina was born in Brooklyn, N.Y.
She was the loving wife for over 44 years of Frank Porpora, who passed away in 1987. Together, they owned Miss Muffet Cheese Corporation in Goshen, N.Y.
She is survived by her son, John, and his wife, Millie; daughter, Jan, and partner, Peter Fotis; and brothers Joseph and Dick DeBartolo.
She was predeceased by her loving daughter Dolores in 2009 and sadly is being interred on what would be Dolores' 67th birthday.
Her family includes five grandchildren, Nicole and Scott Wagner, Amy and Logan Pavia, Michael and Christine Porpora, Jenny and Josh Eisenhauer, Lisa and Mike Farrell; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Tina was a Para Professional teacher at BOCES for over 29 years, and also taught English as a second language. She was active in Catholic Daughters for over 30 years. She was an active parishioner and communicant at St. Joseph and St. John's churches. She was a loving and generous mother, teacher, wife and friend with a deep and lasting faith.
Visitation was held Aug. 19 at Donovan Funeral Home in Goshen. A Mass of Christian burial was held Aug. 20 at St. John's Church, Goshen, with Father Robert Porpora officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, N.Y., on Aug. 20.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Orange County Hospice Center or the Orange County Food Pantry.
