Ruth P. Akacki

Ruth Pietrzak Akacki of Pine Island died peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Goshen. Ruth was 93 years old and the last surviving child of Helen and Stanley Pietrzak.

She was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sons Edward Akacki Jr. and his wife Sharon of Annandale, Va., and Robert Akacki and his wife Elizabeth of Florida, N.Y.; her daughter Anita Akacki of San Diego, Calif.; her granddaughter Kimberly Bailey and her husband Gary of Bealeton, Va.; her grandson Aaron Akacki and his fiancé Shaunah Gordon of Centreville, Va.; and her great grandchildren Kaitlin, Daniel, Kileigh Rose, Devon, Dylan and Zachery.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Akacki Sr.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 19 at St. Stanislaus Church in Pine Island.

Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.
