Ruth Karmiol

Ruth Karmiol of Warwick passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, after an extraordinary battle with cancer.

She leaves behind her husband of 55 years, Mark; children Jeff (and Cindy), Bruce (and Denise) and Cheryl and her husband Terry; and grandchildren Samara, Matthew, Anna, Michelle and her fiancée Roscoe, Taylor, Josh and his wife Jocelin, Kyle (and Kristen). As well as great grandchildren and Bruce’s extended family Matt, Steve, and Jackie, and Jeff’s extended family Leila, Case and Sam.

Ruth was a retiree of the Warwick Valley School District, having worked at Kings Elementary for 28 years.

Cremation was under the direction of T.S. Purta Funeral Home.

As per Ruth’s request there will be no visitation or services. Ruth’s ashes will be spread by the family at a later date as she wished.

The family would like to thank all those who provided support and encouragement during her illness. The nurses at Orange Regional Medical Center did an extraordinary job caring for Ruth during her final days. A great big thank you to Drs. Perry and Dinsmore, and the wonderful caring staff at Crystal Run - keep enjoying those sunrises and sunsets.
