Ronald Pauze of Goshen, a longtime area resident since 1969, entered into rest on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick. He was 83.
The son of Harold B. and Cornelia Stagg Pauze, he was born on Dec. 6, 1933, in the Bronx.
He was a retired structural iron worker for Local 40 in New York City.
Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, He also was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his children: Ginny Pauze and husband Jeff; Ronnie Pauze and partner Bill; Beth Pauze, David Pauze and wife Jennifer; grandchildren: Jason, Jack, Elizabeth, Devin and Noah; great grandchildren: Brianna, Jordan, Jacob and Joey; nieces and nephews Lisa Kontos, Erik Pauze and Adria Pauze; great nieces and nephews Nick Pauze, Meghan Pauze, Gwen Pauze Fraser, Kyle Pauze, Jacquelene Pauze and Justin Kontos.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Brennan Pauze, and brother, Alan Pauze.
Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 7, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Aug. 8, beginning at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Church, Florida.
Burial will be St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
