Ronald E. Smith

Ronald E. Smith of Warwick, a retired assistant director for the Orange County Consumer Affairs Weights & Measures Department, entered into rest on Monday, Sept. 24, 2013, at St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick. He was 69.

The son of Charles Smith and Charlotte Weslowski Smith, he was born March 3, 1944, in Warwick.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include his wife,Barbara Smith; son Kevin Smith of the Village of Florida; two grandsons, Kevin and Craig Smith.

He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Smith.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida.

Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Warwick.
