Robert I. Sztendor

Robert I. “PaPa” Sztendor of Pine Island, a truck driver for Jones Chemical in Warwick, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 6, 2013. He was 65.

The son of Ignatius and Nellie Grzywaczewski Sztendor, he was born March 27, 1948, in Warwick.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Deborah Matusewski Sztendor at home; son Robert Sztendor and Erin O’Brien of Pine Island; daughter, Dawn Porter and her husband Scott of Pine Island; grandson Chase Porter; four sisters: Caroline Evans and her husband Raymond of Slate Hill; Cecilia Glowaczewski and her husband Raymond of Goshen; Joan Watch and her husband Donald of Westtown; and Theresa Niski and her husband John of Middletown.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Urbanski

A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, at St. Stanislaus Church in Pine Island. The Rev. Joseph Tokarczyk will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
