Rita L. Orthodox-Weigele

Rita L. Orthodox-Weigele of Middletown passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 76 years old.

Born May 12, 1937 in Warwick, she was the daughter of Alfred and Mary E. (VanStrander) Park.

Rita worked with the Department of Social Services, Medicaid Division, in Goshen for 30 years.

She is survived by her three sons: Kim J. Quackenbush (Noreen) of Amity, Christopher D. Orthodox (Ruby) of Gotha, Fla., and Stephen A. Orthodox (Mary) of Cape Coral, Fla.; three grandchildren: Breann Anderson (Keith) of Clarksville, Tenn., Shannon Quackenbush and Colby J. Quackenbush of Amity; a sister, Nancy Miller (Glenn), of Warwick; and a brother, James D. Park, of Little Meadows, Pa.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred F. W. Park.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, at New Milford-Edenville United Methodist Church.

Arrangements were under the direction of Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
