Raymond P. Mabee

Raymond P. Mabee of Warwick passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. He was 76 years old.
Born July 24, 1936, in Warwick, he was the son of Preston S. and Anna (Vander Meulen) Mabee.
He was married for 46 years to Carol (Donald) Mabee.
Raymond served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a lifelong dairy farmer in Bellvale.
An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting and trapping. He spent countless hours tending his gardens. He also enjoyed playing rummy with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Carol of Warwick; two daughters: Michelle Mabee-Loughren and her husband Gerry of Goshen and Kim Blumenberg and her husband Scott of Florida, N.Y.; two grandchildren: Holly and Luke; two sisters: Margaret Benedict of Warwick and Dorothy Mabee of Warwick; and a nephew, Shawn Mabee of Warwick.
He was predeceased by a brother, Preston Mabee Jr.
The family would like to say a special thank you to both the hospital staff at St. Anthony Community Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m.
