Pierina Maddalena of Warwick passed away on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at Schervier Pavilion with her family at her side. She was 90 years old.
Born on May 12, 1927 in Maniago, Italy, she was the daughter of Giovanni and Albina (Tramontina) Toffolo.
She was the widow of Bruno Maddalena (1998).
She is survived by her children: Sandra Ferrari and her husband Barry of Warwick, Edward Maddalena of Warwick and Catherine Mello and her husband John of Ewing, N..J.; her grandchildren: Jason Mello and his companion Erin of Hamilton, N.J., Jonathan Ferrari of Tonawanda and Jessica Ferrari and her companion Gary of Slate Hill; and great- grandchildren: Jacob, Carter and Marley.
She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Patricia Maddalena and three brothers and two sisters in Italy.
Visitation will be on Friday, Oct. 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, at St. Stephen's R.C. Church Warwick, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery,
