Philomena P. Tyrrell

Philomena P. Tyrrell (nee Meehan) of Warwick passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at Schervier Pavilion. She was 79 years old.
She was born March 1, 1938, in Leitrim, Ireland, the daughter of Vincent Meehan and Anna McNulty.
Philomena was married to John Tyrrell for fifty-two years.
She worked as an administrative assistant in the Town of Warwick Building Department.
Philomena is survived by her husband John at home; her two daughters: Bernadette Tyrrell and husband Keith McAleer of Brewster and Caroline Quin and her husband Daniel of Stony Point; her son John D. Tyrrell and his fiancée Cari McGinnis of Montgomery; four grandchildren: Elyse, Terrence, Sean and Colin; her three sisters: Mary Halim, Theresa Steen and Rose Meehan; and her three brothers: Peter, Daniel and Patrick Meehan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Vincent and Gerard Meehan and a sister, Barbara Cress.
Visitation was held at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick on Feb. 12.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 13 at St. Stephen RC Church in Warwick.
Interment followed at St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
