Paul Kaiser

    Paul Kaiser of Florida, N.Y., (and a winter resident of Stuart, Fla.) passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at St. Anthony Community Hospital. He was 85 years old.

    Born Aug. 1, 1927, in Mt. Vernon, he was the son of Benjamin Franklin and Lillian (Quirk) Kaiser.

    He was married to Helen Denike Kaiser (1991).

    Paul served with the U.S. Navy during World War II, having enlisted with his father.

    He was a pilot with Eastern Airlines, based in New York. His nickname was “Wings” and his life revolved around flying. He was a member of the REPA (Retired Eastern Pilot’s Association). He also enjoyed golfing and cooking.

    He is survived by his son Stephen Kaiser and his wife Nadine of River Vale, N.J.; two daughters: Catherine Ann Lo Bello of Powell, Ohio, and Ginny Haney and her husband Bob of Galena, Ohio; a stepson, Douglas Kaiser, of Grand Rivers, Kentucky; his companion Gail Toffel of Warwick; his sister, Mary Lou De Fate of Ohio; six grandchildren: Kevin, Stephen, Timothy, Louis, Mark and Vanessa; and one great grandchild, Liam.

    Memorial donations may be sent to St. Anthony Community Hospital, 15 Maple Ave., Warwick, NY 10990.

    Cremation was private.
