Paul Allen Ramsdell

    Paul Allen Ramsdell, 91, of Highland Lakes died after a brief illness at his residence in Highland Lakes, on Jan. 24, 2013.

    Born to Fred and Eva Ramsdell in Chicago, Ill., he had lived in Delaware and Ridgewood, before moving to the Highland Lakes section of Vernon Twp. in 1979.

    Ramsdell worked as a Lab Director and Chemical Engineer for DuPont in Pompton Lakes for 37 years retiring in 1979. He was a former member of the Westside Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood and was a member of the Warwick United Methodist Church in Warwick, N.Y. He enjoyed photography, woodworking and sailing. He was a doting father and grandfather and always a good friend to others.

    Ramsdell was predeceased by his wife, Mary “Mimi” Frances Ramsdell (2006), a daughter, Carol Ramsdell (2004) and a sister, Joan Luttrell.

    He is survived by his children Terry Bloomsburgh of Berkeley, Cali., Richard Ramsdell of Chester, N.Y., Christy Connell of Newark, Del. and Mark Ramsdell of Newark, Del; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

    Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at the Warwick United Methodist Church, Warwick, N.Y. Funeral arrangements are by Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon.
