    Patrick M. Guenther of Greenwood Lake, a retired employee of Woodbury Commons and a longtime resident of the area, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, in Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 69.
    The son of Joseph and Madeline Guenther, he was born on Nov. 28, 1948, in Brooklyn.
    He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member and former vice-commander of the Greenwood Lake American Legion. He also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW.
    Survivors include his wife Eileen Guenther at home; his sons Daniel Guenther and his wife Hope of Brooklyn and Eric Guenther and his wife Mariko of Japan; his grandchildren: Riassa, Kicoh, Trinity, Ryan and Abigail; his brothers Joseph Guenther and wife Marie and Edward Guenther; and his sisters Veronica Mormile and her husband Anthony, Diane Dellaperuto and her husband Bobby, Muriel Guenther and Margie Guenther. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
    He was predeceased by his daughter Stacie and his sister Helen.
    Visitation was held Dec. 27 at the Strong Basile Funeral Home in Greenwood Lake.
    A Funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 28 at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake.
    Burial was in Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen.
