Palma M. Cardillo

    Palma M. Cardillo (nee Cassaniti) of Warwick passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. She was 79 years old.
    Born in the Bronx on Aug. 27, 1939, she was the daughter of Rosario and Rose (Alpino) Cassaniti.
    Palma was a devoted Catholic woman from the Bronx; she was an active former parishioner of St. Raymond's R.C. Church in the Bronx, NY; member of the Ladies Sodalities; and the Columbiettes; and she also volunteered for CCD at St. Raymond's.
    More recently, she was an active parishioner at St. Stephen R.C. Church in Warwick, a member of the Catholic Daughters and Court of Ann.
    Palma was a survivor of Sept. 11, having worked in the adjoining building to the Twin Towers.
    She is survived by her children: Leonard P. Cardillo and his wife Suzanne of Stony Point and Roseann Frantzen and her husband James of Pine Island; brother Salvatore Cassaniti of Nyack; and six grandchildren: Carl and his fiancee Deidre Wentzel, Justin, Krista, Eric, Alyse and Regina.
    Visitation was held April 3 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated April 4 a at St. Stephen R.C. Church.
    Interment followed in St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
