Obituary for Philip Luther Babick

    Philip Luther Babick, 56, died unexpectedly on Oct. 27, 2012.

    Born to Michael and Pearl Babick in Newark, he lived in Reading, Penn. and then Lebanon, Penn. for 10 years, then Sussex for two years before moving to Wantage Twp., six years ago.

    Babick worked as a painter for Warwick Kitchen and Bath for four years before retiring in 2009. He was a friend of Bill W. for 34 years and loved music, old cars, riding his tractor, movies and people and was a gifted handyman who donated his time to help others. He adored his stepdaughter.

    Babick is the devoted son of Pearl Babick of Sussex; step father of Rebecca Hunter of Jacksonville, N.C.; brother of Michael Babick of Clearfield, Penn., Christopher Babick of Chester, Kathryn McFarlane of Wantage Twp. and Virginia Wilson of Sussex; nephew of Christene Fox of Cherry Hill and Donald Leming of Phoenix, Ariz.; and cherished by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

    Memorial service will be Nov. 17 at noon at the First Baptist Church of Sussex, 4 East Main Street, Sussex. Cremation was private by Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex.
