Michael John Slesinski of Warwick, a retired mechanic for the Orange County Department of Public Works, entered into rest on Friday, March 2, 2012. He was 64.

The son of Casimir “Pat” Slesinski Sr. and Edith Myslinski Slesinski, he was born May 2, 1947, in Goshen.

He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church in Warwick.

He loved his family, dogs and work. He was always willing to help his friends and anyone who needed it.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 36 years, Rosemarie Mongan Slesinski, at home in Warwick; son Michael Slesinski and his wife Julie of Scott Township, Pa.; daughter Michelle Wolff and her husband Aaron of Poughkeepsie; grandson Wesley Wolff; sisters Patricia Martini and her husband Philip of Middletown and Jeanette Mombert and her husband Edward of Sugar Loaf; brothers Casimir Slesinski Jr. and his wife Arlene of Troy, Ala.; Henry Slesinski and his wife Patty of Kennett Square, Pa., and Mark Slesinski and his wife Debbie of Warwick; sister-in-law Eva Patricia Sweeney of Centereach; brothers-in-law Joseph Mongan and his wife Patricia of Bethpage, James Mongan and his wife Cecile of Elmont, William Mongan and his wife Josephine of Farmingville and Edward Donohue of Lake Ariel, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his dogs, Fritz, Pip and Jingles.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Patrick Sweeney and sister-in-law Elizabeth Catherine Donohue.

Funeral Mass was celebrated March 7 at St. Stephen’s Church in Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen’s Church Building Fund, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick NY 10990.
