Michael D. McGill

Michael D. McGill of Warwick passed away peacefully into the arms of our merciful God surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018. He was 59 years old.
Michael was a loving husband to his wife, Theresa “Terri” (Christman) McGill, and a devoted father to their children: Lauren Willis and her husband Simon of England, Sgt. James McGill, Daniel McGill, Sean McGill, Bridget McGill, and his niece Rebecca McGill, all of Warwick. He is also survived by his brother Vincent McGill and wife Kathleen and his sister Mary Katherine Connelly and husband Joseph, both of Lords Valley, Pa.; sister-in-law Laura McGill; and predeceased by his younger brother Daniel McGill of Warwick.
Michael is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews; a large extended family; and group of lifelong friends too numerous to mention.
After retiring as a NYPD Detective (1997), Mike was a sales rep for SDC Corporation. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Parish in Warwick, the Knights of Columbus 4952 and a member of the “Tuesday Morning Breakfast Club at Tuscan Café.” Michael enjoyed good food, drink, music and most especially good company.
Visitation was held Dec. 19 and 20 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
A Funeral Mass was held Dec. 21 at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Warwick.
