Mary C. Volock

Mary C. Volock, born Oct. 8, 1927, in Florida, N.Y., entered into rest peacefully on Thursday evening, June 1, 2017, with her nieces by her side.
She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt who dedicated her life serving others, including raising her sister’s four daughters after her untimely death.
She was the daughter of John M. Volock and Mary Rutkowski Volock.
She was preceded in death by her brothers John E. Volock and Stanley R. “Curly” Volock and sister Clara Theresa Volock Riley.
She is survived by her brother Frank A. Volock of Goshen; her nieces, Mary Lou Teller of Hyde Park, Catherine Rivera of Fishkill, Theresa Weiss of LaGrangeville, Linda Riley of Schenectady, Ruetta “Tink” Hayes of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and nephew, John E. Volock Jr. of Kiowa, Colorado; several great nieces and nephews and two great-great nephews.
Visitation was held June 4 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home in the Village of Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held June 5 at St. Joseph Church in the Village of Florida.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church Restoration Fund, 14 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921.
