Mark Howard Burke

Mark Howard Burke passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born Dec. 6, 1950, in the Bronx, the son of Marilyn Rymland and Jack Burke.

Mark grew up in Spring Valley and married the love of his life Caryn Werner.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, but most of all the company of his wife, children, grandchildren and his extended family.

He loved having family around him.

Mark is survived by his wife Caryn and loving children Halli (Burke) Tibbals and her husband Trevor of Columbus, Ohio, and Jordan Burke and his wife, Samantha (Green) Burke of Mahwah, N.J., and his cherished grandchildren Madison, Hayden and Asher. Mark was also blessed by his mother-in-law Harriet Werner, his siblings Randi and Fredric Cohen, their children, Brett, Zachary, Jared and Alexis, as well as Joseph and Debbie Werner and their children, Jason and Lindsay.

His funeral was held on April 3rd at Beth Am Temple in Pearl River.

Donations in memory of Mark should be made to the Pancreatic Action Network or St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation of Warwick.

Funeral arrangements have been made by Hellman Memorial Chapels in Spring Valley.
