Marguerite Canevari

Marguerite Canevari, a 50-year resident of Warwick, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. She was 83 years old.

Born Oct. 12, 1930, in Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of John and Theresa (Jacques) Lyons.

She was the widow of Peter David Canevari (2012).

Her family's statement reads: “She gave love unconditionally and without judgment and was known as 'Mom' by many. She loved to have fun and laugh and to spend time with her children and friends. She loved to celebrate life and cherished every moment. She lived her life helping others and was truly a guardian angel. She was Love."

She is survived by her children: Robert Rys of Philipsport and his children Samantha and April, Peter Canevari and his companion Rose Skinner of Warwick, Arthur Canevari and his wife Dawn of Warwick and their children Casey, Ryan and Christopher, Renee Allen and her husband John of Warwick and their children Angela, Anita and Justin, Paul Canevari of Warwick and his children Nicholas, Jacquelyn, Joseph and Paul, and Caroline Vogel and her husband Eddie of Wantage, N.J., and their children Racquel and Anthony.

She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; her siblings: her sister Jane White of Missouri, her twin sister Joann Wentz of Pine Bush and her brother John (Jay) Mower of San Diego, California.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by private cremation.
