Loretta McElwee

Loretta McElwee of the Village of Florida, a retired clerk with the Orange County Real Property Tax Office, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at Orange Regional Medical Center in Wallkill. She was 67 and had been a resident of the area for 35 years.
The daughter of Leo and Rose Smith McIntee, she was born in the Bronx on Dec. 19, 1945.
Loretta was the widow of James McElwee.
Loretta touched many lives and was a devoted animal lover. She was loved deeply by her family, friends, co-workers, her dog Rusty and her cat Orion. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her sons James McElwee of Middletown, John McElwee of Ithaca, and Daniel McElwee and his wife Maria of New York City. She is also survived by her twin sister Rose Tracey of Ronkonkoma and her brother Leo McIntee and his wife Susan of Worcester, Mass., and brother-in-law John McElwee and his wife Marge of Syosset; along with many nieces and nephews.
Loretta was pre-deceased by her sister Mary Drouin.
A funeral Mass will be held Friday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Anastasia Shrine Church, 21 North Main St., Harriman.
Cremation will follow at Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc., in Chester.
