Lewis J. Myruski of Goshen entered into rest on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 82.
The son of Leon Myruski and Frances Brozycki Myruski, he was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Goshen.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Goshen.
He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Lou loved farming. He owned and operated a produce farm in Durlandville with his son and grandson.
He loved traveling with his family and loved going to the casinos.
He was an avid hunter and New York Jets and Mets fan.
He was retired from Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center where he worked as a security guard.
He was a member of the Orange County Vegetable Growers and the Pine Island Seniors.
Lou is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Victoria Bigert Myruski; three sons: Lewis Myruski and his wife Paula of New Hampton and their children Samantha, Louie and Kelsey; Kenneth Myruski and his wife Lori of Warwick and their children Jared and Jayden; and Donald Myruski and his wife Ann Marie of Slate Hill and their children Troy and Haley; sister Marion Myruski; sisters-in-law Bernadette, Aileen and Rosalie Myruski; and many nieces and nephews and his special lifelong friend, Frank Kolman.
He was predeceased by brothers Joseph, Florian, John and Raymond and sister Clementine.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, at St. John’s Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in the Village of Florida.
