Lenore Grobstein

Lenore Janet Grobstein of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, following a battle with cancer.
Lenore was born in Goshen on Sept. 24, 1944 to Stanley and Antoinette (Brozdowski) Urbanski.
She was a well-known and respected advertising account executive in the Phoenix area for many years. She was the first woman to sell television advertising time in Arizona while selling for KOOL TV.
Until her retirement in 2012, she was vice president of sales and marketing for Arizona Business’s Ranking Arizona Magazine. She took on this assignment with her full energy and commitment and increased the number of advertisers substantially.
For a period of time, Lenore also worked in the furniture and home accessory business with her husband, Sy.
Lenore was not only a big fan of the Phoenix Suns, she was also one of their first professional cheerleaders when the team played at Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum.
She was on the board for Sojourner and was involved with other organizations that encourage women to reach their potential.
Lenore was predeceased by her husband, Sy; her parents; her sister Mary Ann Long and her brother Stanley Urbanski.
She is survived by her stepson Jay (Ellie) Grobstein of Minnesota; her sister Lorraine (Rich) Ryerson of Venice, Fla.; her brother Joseph (Bonnie) Urbanski of Middletown; and many nieces and nephews.
