Kenneth R. Vanderschaaf
Kenneth R. Vanderschaaf of Slate Hill, the former owner for more than 30 years of the Westtown Garage, entered into rest on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at home. He was 69.
The son of late Peter and Margaret Mack Vanderschaaf, he was born April 2, 1943, in Middletown.
Survivors include wife, Gloria (Brozowski) Vanderschaaf; daughter Christine Kocot and her husband Alex Kocot III of Warwick; grandson Alex Kocot IV; granddaughter Kimberly Kocot; sister Joyce King and her husband John of Spencer; sisters-in-law Janet Vanderschaaf, Bonnie and her husband Elliot Mayefsky and Pamela Brozowski; brothers-in-law Chester Brozowski and his partner David Wright and Robert Brozowski and his wife Frances; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Peter Vanderschaaf Jr. and his brother-in-law James Brozowski.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 22, from 9 to 10 a.m., at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route#1, Pine Island.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Pine Island.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local humane society.
