Kathleen M. Supek of Warwick passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 75 years old.
Born on April 11, 1942, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of George and Winifred (Bartoldus) Herrmann.
She was married to John M. Supek and spent many years in Franklin Square on Long Island with her family before moving to Warwick 23 years ago.
Kathleen was a devoted volunteer as the director of meals on Wheels of Warwick and also has worked for The Warwick Dispatch newspaper.
An active member of St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, she was a volunteer at Mother’s Cupboard for the church.
She was also a member of the local CrossFit senior’s fitness program.
She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John of Warwick; her children: Steven Supek and his wife Kelly of Mooresville, N.C., Randolph Supek and his wife Gaby of Melville, Long Island, Janet Drosselmeier and her husband Todd of Franklin Lakes, N.J., and Lori Capel and her husband Elijah of Carmel; her beloved six grandchildren: Shane, Samantha, Arden, Gavin, Mason and Connor; her sister Joan Fox of Houston, Texas; and her brothers, Richard Herrmann of Owings Mills, Maryland, and James Herrmann of Newton, N.J.
Visitation was held Aug. 2 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 3 at St. Stephen's R.C. Church.
Interment followed in the Warwick Cemetery.
