June Johnson

June Johnson of Warwick passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019. She was 99 years old.
June was born in Worcester, Mass., to parents Raymond and Eleanor (Anderson) Allison on Dec. 9, 1919.
She graduated from Grafton High School in 1937 and married her high school sweetheart, Howard Johnson, on Nov. 27, 1943.
In 1956 Howie, June and their family moved to Blauvelt, N.Y.
She was a homemaker and assisted Howie in his work as a manufacturers’ representative.
June spent many years as a volunteer at the Blauvelt Free Library and was an active member of the Nauraushaun and Greenbush Presbyterian Churches. She was fond of entertaining family and friends.
In retirement, June and Howie enjoyed traveling together.
June is survived by her son Gary and his wife Margaret of Warwick; grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew, Eric and his wife Lauren Carrier; a sister, Carol Nichols of Newtown, Conn.; and Sue Schoepfer, her caregiver.
She was predeceased by her husband Howard F. Johnson; son Howard Johnson Jr.; brothers Donald Allison and Raymond Allison Jr.
Cremation was private.
