Julia ‘Sheila’ Donovan

Julia “Sheila” Donovan of the Village of Florida entered into rest on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Nyack Hospital. She was 76.

The daughter of Daniel Jordan and Julia Mullane, she was born Aug. 20, 1936, in Kanturk, County Cork, Ireland.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John Donovan; three children: James Donovan and his wife Gloria, John Patrick Donovan and his wife Linda and Carol Lempka and her husband Vincent; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters: Theresa Barry, Marie Cross and Pauline O’Leary. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Michael Jordan and her sisters Phyllis Joyce and Ethel Young.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 6 at St. Joseph Church in the Village of Florida.

Burial will be in held privately and at the convenience of the family.
