Judith K. Werner

    Judith K. Werner of Warwick, and formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at Westchester Medical Center. She was 82 years old.
    Born on April 24, 1935, in Madison, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the Walter Scott Hake and Lilah Musetta Chamberlain.
    Before retiring, Judith was an elementary school teacher at the Kelly Lane School in Granby, Connecticut.
    She was a member of the Sandia Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, N.M., and was formerly a Docent at the Natural History Museum in Albuquerque.
    Judith was also an avid golfer and bridge player.
    She is survived by her husband Thomas Werner of Warwick; her daughter Susan Werner Mackie and her husband Bob of Warwick; three grandsons: William Thomas Mackie of San Francisco, California, Michael Andrew Mackie of Los Angeles, California, and Timothy Scott Mackie and his wife Shawna of Hinesville, Georgia; a brother, Daniel Hake and his wife Barbara of Estero, Florida; and two nephews and a niece.
    She was predeceased by a son, Scott Thomas Werner, in 1993.
    A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.
