Josephine T. Tinnirello of Warwick (and formerly of Titusville, Fla.) , passed away peacefully on Monday, April 21, 2014, in Midlothian, Va. She was 92 years old.

Born Nov. 24, 1921, in Wilkes Barre, Pa., she was the daughter of William and Petronella (Anusczkiewicz) Domanski.

She was the widow of James G. Tinnirello (2006).

Josephine proudly served with the United States Marine Corps during World War II.

A homemaker, she was a member of St. Stephen's Church in Warwick.

She is survived by her children: Theresa Jones and her husband JoeEd of Charlotte, N.C., Alicia Barnett and her husband Dean of Richmond, Va., and James M. Tinnirello and his wife Colleen of Sheboygan, Wis.; daughter-in-law Lucyann Tinnirello of Warwick; and sister Agnes Novakowski of Wilkes Barre, Pa She was the beloved grandmother of Joe Fitzgibbon, Christopher Frers, Jennifer Forrestire, David Frers, Douglas Tinnirello, Amanda Van Horn, Katelyn Hamilton and Adam Frers.

She was known as “Babci” to her 12 great-grandchildren, whom she adored.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James, her son John Tinnirello, sisters Alice Niescier and Mildred Masalski and brother John Domanski.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Stephen's Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
