Josephine Benincasa

Josephine Benincasa of Warwick (and formerly of Bradley Gardens. N.J.) died peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was 74.
She was born in Somerville, N.J., on Jan. 6, 1942, to her dear parents Joanina Marvuglio and Acongala Rosario Benincasa.
Josephine attended Bound Brook High School.
She was a machine operator for Devro of Somerville.
Josephine raised her three children as a single mother and was devoted to her many cats and dogs.
Josephine is survived by her three loving sons: John Zakzewski, Joseph Zakzewski and his wife Christine and James Zakzewski; four cherished grandchildren: Daniel, Jessica, Benjamin and Joseph; four dear sisters and one brother: Linda, Serafina, Rosalie, Angelina and John.
She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Daniel; and two sisters, Concetta and Victoria.
Viewing will take place Friday July 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Ave., Raritan, NJ 08869.
Burial will be private.
