Josephine A. Pierce

    Josephine A. Pierce of Westtown entered into rest on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at home. She was 70.
    The daughter of Josephine Klecha Mydosh and Vincent Mydosh, she was born on July 31, 1948, in Sussex, N.J.
    She was a member of the Slate Hill Pacers; past president of the Middletown Gardener Lovers Club; and a member of the “Jersey Girls” Quilting Club in Highland Lakes, N.J.
    She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Adam “Poncho” Pierce; son Michael Pierce and wife Jennifer; grandson Matthew Pierce; mother Josephine Mydosh; brother Edward Mydosh and wife Stacy; sisters-in-law Mary Ann Slater and Beverly Pierce; along with several nieces and nephews.
    Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 25 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route 1 in Pine Island.
    A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at St. Stanislaus Church, 17 Pulaski Highway, Pine Island.
    Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
