Joseph Kaczmar

Joseph Kaczmar of Middletown, and formerly of Goshen, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at home. He was 82.

The son of John and Katherine Frankowska Kaczmar, he was born May 14, 1931, in Warwick.

He was a US Army Korean veteran.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth ”Betty” Kaczmar; son Joseph Kaczmar (Susan); daughters: Joann Drake (Joseph); Judith Shuback (Lawrence Gould); Patricia Bernhardsen (Karl); Mary Kaczmar and Lillian Crain; nine grandchildren: Stacey Diaz (Jason); Megan Shuback; Amanda Henderson; Candice Crain; Karl Eric Bernhardsen; Brian Kolligs; Connor Kolligs; Molly Bernhardsen; and Patrick Kaczmar; two great grandchildren: Leanne Dross and Jason Diaz; sisters Helen Kaczmar and Eleanor Quall; brothers John, Steven, Daniel and Robert Kaczmar; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Lucy.

He was predeceased by his sisters Anna Kirzow, Sophie Johnson and Stella Paul and brothers Leo, Frank, Henry and Stanley Kaczmar.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave. in Florida.

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Florida.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
