Joseph J. Bernat

Joseph J. Bernat of Monroe passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 76.

Son of Remigius and Victoria Floreck Bernat, he was born April 29, 1936, in Garfield, N.J.

He was a retired manager for Pearle Vision Center in Saddle Brook, N.J.

Joseph is survived by his wife Kathleen Payne Bernat at home; his son Robert Bernat of Monroe; and his daughter Kimberly Bernat and her fiance Thomas Cudmore of Warwick.

He was predeceased by a son, Joseph J. Bernat Jr.

A funeral service was scheduled to be held Thursday, June 28, at the Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave. in Monroe, with the Rev. Donald Lee officiating.

Interment was to follow in Seamanville Cemetery on Spring Street in Monroe.
