    Joseph A. Sleder, III, of Warwick, passed away Tuesday, July 16 at home, surrounded byloving family. He was 65.

    The son of Jovita and the late Joseph Sleder, he was born Nov. 19, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York.

    Joe enjoyed fishing, cooking, telling stories and time with family. He will be missed by the multitude of people whose lives he touched in one way or another in his 38 years in the community.

    He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Edie Sleder, of Warwick; daughter Jaclyn and her husband, Michael Derych, of Stockholm, New Jersey, who just 6 weeks ago presented him with his first Grandson, Michael Joseph; daughter Katrina and son Joseph, both of Warwick; mother, Jovita, of Warwick; sister Karen and her husband Ed Grill, of Warwick; brother-in-law and friend, John Riedmueller and his wife, JoAnn, of Flemington, New Jersey; sister-in-law Ursula Tarsio of Vernon, New Jersey; “son” Second Class Petty Officer Anthony Palovchik (TJ), his wife Katie and their daughter Izabella; friends; cousins; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews too many to name. He loved them all.

    There will be no visitation, please join us at a Memorial Service on Aug. 18, at 1 p.m. in Mulder Chapel at The Warwick Conference Center, 62 Warwick Center Road in Warwick, New York.

    In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in Joe’s name may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan, 800 Stony Brook Rd., Newburgh, NY 12550 or The Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry, 135 Forester Ave., Warwick, NY 10990.

    Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Thomas F. Flynn, Director of Flynn Funeral and Cremation Memorial Centers, Monroe, New York.
