Jonathan Teague Cook
Jonathan Teague Cook of Greenwood Lake, an actor and a partner with McGee-Cook Construction in New York City with his best friend Joe McGee, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at his home. He was 74.
The son of John and Josephine Cook, he was born March 2, 1938, in Lowell, Mass.
Jonathan had a 40-year acting career. He started in dinner theatre in Massachusetts and developed his career in New York City. He was in more than 40 plays in New York, including leading roles.
He was in movies including “Ghost Dog;” “Flirting with Disaster;” “The Fighter;” and “You Don’t Know Jack” with Al Pacino. On television, he had many roles in “Law and Order” and on HBO.
He was involved with his wife Cynthia Anderson- Cook in the Lakes Theatre Collective in the Warwick Community Center and with the HVActor’s Workshop in New York City.
Survivors include his wife Cynthia Anderson-Cook; his son Lucas; and his daughters Joy, Nancy, Lin and Melissa; his grandchildren Vincent, Jill, Jackie and Brianna; his sister Marge and his brothers Bobby and George, his sons-in-law Vinny, Carl and Tom; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jonathan loved well and was well loved. He will be greatly missed.
Services and celebrations will be held in Massachusetts and New York City at a later date.
