John J. Ball

    John J. Ball, a lifelong resident of Warwick, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at St. Anthony Community Hospital. He was 80 years old.

    Born June 18, 1932, in Goshen, he was the son of James and Gertrude (Pfendler) Ball.

    John served with the U.S. Air Force as a sergeant during the Korean War.

    He was an assembly line worker for Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, N.J., before his retirement. He also was a member of the Warwick Masonic Lodge.

    He is survived by his brother Robert Ball of Warwick and his two sisters: Elise Hann and Gloria Schlagel and her husband Walter, also of Warwick.

    A memorial service was held Jan. 19 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
