    John Edward White of Warwick passed away at home with his loving wife by his side, on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018. He was 90 years old.
    The son of John A. and Catherine (Meagher) White, he was born on March 8, 1928, in New York City.
    He proudly served his country in the United States Army, 11th Airborne Division, during World War II.
    John was retired from the Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, N.J., as an automotive painter.
    He was a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Church in Florida and also active in St. Stephen’s parish in Warwick where he was a CYO coach and a member of the Knights of St. Stephen.
    He was a member of the Warwick Valley Country Club and an active member of the American Legion Post 4662 in Warwick.
    John is survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara (Linton) White at home; his four daughters, Beth Nathans and her husband Bill of Warwick, Cathi White of Warwick, Barbara White-Holtman and her husband John of Boston, Mass., and Kim Wapelhorst and her husband Robert of Oradell, N.J.; grandchildren: Ami Beth White and her fiancé James Jackson, Jonathan Nathans and his wife Kate, Tucker Nathans, Adam Holtman, John Holtman, Kristen Wapelhorst, Robert Wapelhorst and John Wapelhorst; and two great-grandchildren: Gage and Greer Nathans.
    A Mass will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 14 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
    Interment will follow the mass in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen.
    Arrangements were made by Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
