John Daniel “Bud” Chardavoyne Jr. of Warwick entered into rest on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at home. He was 87.
The son of John D. Chardavoyne and Violet Jennings Chardavoyne, he was born on Aug. 4, 1931, in Oak Ridge, N.J.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Kathrine Maros Chardavoyne, at home; three children: John Chardavoyne of Warwick, Virginia Quackenbush and her husband Jim of Warwick, and Mary Lain and her husband Jim of Westtown; four grandsons; Kyle Decker and his wife Kristen, Brandon Gurda and his wife Kelsey, Brett Gurda and his wife Colleen, and Joshua Lain; four great grandchildren, Channing and Garrett Decker and Brayden and Ethan Gurda; four sisters, Alice Norman, June Zeek, Wanda Harvey and Marilyn Gorczynski; brother Henry Chardavoyne; along with several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Smokey.
He was predeceased by his son Joseph Stephen Chardavoyne and sister Carolyn Paffenroth.
As per his wishes, cremation will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the T.S. Purta Funeral Home.
