John Canale

John Canale of Warwick (and formerly of Miami, Fla.) passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013. He was 92 years old.

One of six boys, he was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Naples, Italy, to Salvatore and Letizia (Pazone) Canale.

He was married to the late Rose Joan (Farinacci) Canale.

John served with the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a self-employed cabinet refinisher in Miami, Fla., before retiring. He also owned greyhound racing dogs.

John is survived by his daughters Joan H. Albers and her husband Fred of Warwick and Janice Marie Canale of North Miami, Fla.; his grandchildren: Suzanne Albers of Pine Bush, Michael Albers of Highland,Stephanie Leonhirth of McLean, Va., and Catherine Albers of Washington, D.C.; seven great-grandchildren; and his brother Jerry Canale of Lake City, Fla.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Mt. Alverno Chapel in Warwick.
