John B. Coyne

John B. Coyne of Warwick (and formerly of East Windsor, N.J.) passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at St. Anthony Community Hospital. He was 71 years old.
Born June 29, 1941, in Corona, Queens, he was the son of William and Anna (Keating) Coyne.
He was married to Rita (Carolan) Coyne.
He was the owner of John P. Fay., Inc., New York City and a member of St. Stephen’s R.C. Church in Warwick. He was a former parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church in Hightstown, N.J., and a past Grand Knight with Knights of Columbus Council #6284.
An avid sports fan, he coached baseball for more than 30 years in Hightstown, coached with the Hightstown PAL basketball league, the Hightstown Pop Warner football and with the East Windsor Babe Ruth League.
He enjoyed cruises and saw the world on 49 cruises. He was also a dog lover.
He is survived by his wife Rita Coyne of Warwick; a son, Christopher Coyne and his wife Diana of Warwick; three grandchildren: Amanda, Christina and Tyler; a sister, Margaret Clarke of Murray Hill, N.J.; two brothers: William Coyne Jr. of Bayside, Queens, and Gerald Coyne of Deer Park on Long Island.
He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Coyne and his sister Eileen Doyle.
Visitation will be on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 28 and 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. each day at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
