Joe Augusta

Joe Augusta of Warwick, and formerly of River Edge, N.J., passed away at Montefiore Nyack Hospital on Friday, April 26, 2019. He was 87 years old.
Born in Cumberland, Kentucky, on March 14, 1932, he was the son of Charlie Agosta and Cecelia Rosacha.
Joe was the owner of, as well as a hairdresser at, Joseph Augusta Hairdressers on Kinderkamack Road in River Edge, N.J.
He served in the Army during the Korean War as a paratrooper. He was a member of the American Legion in Warwick and at the Post in River Edge, N.J.
Joe is survived by his wife Ann; their six children: Charles Augusta and wife Britta of Warwick, Elizabeth Di Modugno of Warwick, Virginia Augusta and husband Matthew of Ithaca, Patricia Augusta of Warwick, Alexandria Sarki and husband Orhan of Florida, N.Y., and Joseph Augusta of Scottsdale, Arizona; and his 15 grandchildren to whom he was a loving Grampy.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4,9 at Christ Church, located at the corner of Second and South Street in Warwick.
