Joan S. Putnam, a lifetime resident of Warwick, passed away on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021,at Park Manor Rehabilitation Center in Middletown. She was 89 years old.

Prior to her retirement, Joan worked as an administrative assistant in the Warwick Valley School District office for many years.
Joan was dedicated to her family, keeping track of the grandchildren’s activities and keeping in touch with them all. She was so proud of her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always sharing a story about one of them with whomever she was visiting with.
She always had a smile and time to sit and chat.
Aside from visiting with family, which was her absolute favorite, her next favorite outing was her visits to have her hair done at Luci’s in the village, an appointment that she never missed, both for the social aspect and for looking pretty!
Visitation was held Nov. 11 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
A Funeral Service was held Nov. 12 at Christ Episcopal Church, 50 South St., Warwick.
Interment followed the service in Warwick Cemetery.
